Build Your Own Music Library With Rockin' Albums and Cd's!

If you are into music like I am, then a music library of albums and cd's is a must. A music library can help you develop your music skills by attentive listening. What I like to do is record my favorite songs by each artist onto cassette. That way I have my favorite songs in a continual play without any commercial interruptions.

Of course, these days you can burn your own cd's and make your own cd's. I don't have this technology yet, but the principle is still the same. I have been recording off of albums for over 25 years and recording off of CD's for over 5 years. It all boils down to this...making your own record albums and cd's!

Technology went from albums to CD's. I like CD's better because they are more portable and more durable and have better sound quality. But because of this transition, a lot of great albums didn't make the cut to CD's which is truly sad. I can give you one example right off the top of my head. "Night Shift" by Foghat has some great tunes, but I haven't found it on CD yet. It may exist, and it may be possible to order it, but as of now, I haven't found it yet. I also haven't been looking real hard because I'm in the midst of being a web-preneur. hehe :-)

A visitor to my site recently e-mailed me and asked if I knew where he could get the song "Life Gets Teejus, Don't It?"12:46 AM 10/12/2003 I quite frankly never heard of the song, but my parents had. The song came out in 1958. I found out by searching on the web that the artist was Carson Robison.

I also found out that two of my merchants had some cd's and albums by Carson Robison. I found his CD at Sony Music Direct. Other good stores with good selection and prices of cd's online are Wal-Mart and Target which they have been selling for years. Music at Wal-Mart and Shop Electronics at Target.com. I found some cd's by Mark Knopfler, formerly of Dire Straits, and Led Zeppelin searching online at Target.

I still have my record collection that I've been building since the 1960's. I only have about 250 records and 75 45's, but I would have bought more if I had more money at the time. Record albums have good quality sound that rivals CD's, but you have to take care of them because they're not as durable as CD's are.

When the music industry went to CD's in the 80's, they didn't bother to convert a lot of albums to CD's. I wasn't happy about that since I wasn't finished building my music library. Now it might be possible to special order a CD that was available as an album in the past, but I'll have to do more research on that.

I did, however, find a cool link where you can order vinyl record albums online. Visit www.recordsbymail.com. They offer a huge selection of albums including Rock & Pop, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Oldies, Blues & R&B, Vocalists, Punk & New Wave, Metal, Black Gospel, Vocal Groups, Rockabilly, Country, Folk, Easy Listening, Soundtracks & Cast, International, Latin & Brazilian, Reggae, and Comedy. Pretty cool, huh? So if you are like me and still collect record albums, check this site out! Click here to browse over 50,000 rare vinyl records - Rock, Soul, Jazz, Punk, Country & More - only at www.recordsbymail. com!

A musical library of cd's and record albums are good for one to have as is a good photo album. They both bring back good memories and are great to share with the ones you love. So if you get a chance, check out www.recordsbymail.com

Speaking of photo albums, I will have a page in the near future about digital cameras and go into some depth about that and let you know about a possible cool site after I check it out first. In the meantime, if you find a cd or record album by Foghat entitled "Night Shift", please let me know.

Until next time, be cool, and may God bless everyone.
