Electric Or Acoustic Guitars? Pick The One That Is Right For You!

Guitars are a lot of fun to play. But what kind of guitar do you pick? Well, I started out on an acoustic guitar. Acoustic guitars are less inexpensive than electric guitars (usually), so I would recommend starting out with an acoustic. I have both an acoustic and an electric. To get good at playing guitar, you will have to devote time and practice at playing it. So I wouldn't invest a lot of money right at first until you are sure this is a hobby that you want to stick with.

There are many good brands of acoustic guitar instruments. Fender, Epiphone, Gibson, Martin, Yamaha, Ibanez, Ovation, Tacoma, Takamine, and Guild make up most of the major acoustics. There are other good brands, of course, to choose from as well.

There are a lot of styles, shapes, and colors to choose from as well. Prices can range from reasonable to expensive.

I have a Takamine G-Series acoustic guitar, and it plays pretty nice, and the price wasn't too bad either. I have played on nicer acoustics like my brother's old Gibson, and it almost plays like an electric. Takamine makes better and more expensive models as well so it really depends how much you can afford to spend on an acoustic guitar. I also recommend playing the acoustic guitar first to see how easy or hard it is to play chords and notes. I still like my Takamine - it plays good, has good sound tone, and it helps to build up my finger callouses.

With electric guitars, you'll want to buy an amplifier and other cool sound effect accessories that go along with it. Yes, this means more investment on your part. On the other hand, electrics are more fun and easier to play. They are more fun because you have more options at your disposal. Different levels of pick-ups, fuzz boxes, wah wah pedals, and tons of other neat electrical gadgets.

For electric guitars, there are a lot of different brands as well. Fender, Gibson, ESP, Ibanez, and Epiphone to mention a few of the major ones. Prices can range from reasonable to expensive. But with electrics, let your imagination wander when it comes to styles, shapes, and colors. There's a whole myriad of possibilities to choose from! Pick one that you feel is you.

I found great deals and quality music equipment for guitars and other cool accessories at this web site: Guitars - electric and acoustic, and free shipping at Music123 on web purchases over $49!

In conclusion, pick the guitar that is right for you. You'll need to consider acoustic vs. electric, your budget, style, color, and other accessories you might want to add later on down the road. Learning how to play guitar is a rewarding hobby. You might want to start up a garage band, and who knows where that might lead? I might be seeing you on tour someday, and you'll be giving ME pointers on guitars! Good luck on your venture! May the riffs be with you!
